For those who say they never aspirate . I always have and today had blood rush into the syringe. ( my first time ever ) This was during a calf injection. It did freak me out slightly. I just withdrew the syringe and injected elsewhere. I don't like to think of what possibly would have happened had I injected into a blood vessel. At minimal the dreaded cough.Join DateMay 2013Locationback in bamaPosts2,271

why are you injecting in your calves for? just curious?Join DateMar 2013Posts87
Just an alternative injection site. I find them really easy if the amount is small. This was .5ml ( 150mg test E )Join DateAug 2013Posts936

I injected roughly 2ml into a vessel once. Heart started racing, I got clammy, started sweating, short of breath, coughing fit. Thought I was having a heart attack. Not pleasant at all. I always aspirate now. I see no reason not to. It only takes a second and can spare you a very unpleasant experience.Join DateJun 2012LocationUbiquitousPosts10,271I do not have any data on oil injections and death but I believe it would take a lot more than 0.5ml to kill someone. You never know though. There are cases of people dying during a tonsillectomy. Statistics say that is a minor procedure and won't kill you either.
Why mess with it. Just aspirate.

.....you left out the part where your skin turned green!
I've drawn blood once, doc told me if I ever pull in blood trash the injection and start over. I didn't, I figured it's my blood anyway. I aspirate on SQ too.
